Blessed Sacrament is proud of the
academic achievements of its students and graduates. Our comprehensive
curriculum teaches the total child...intellectual, spiritual, social and
physical. Each grade level has specific
Student Learning Expectations established to ensure that our
graduates are well-prepared for their high school experience. Blessed
Sacrament graduates are repeatedly awarded "Honors at Entrance" as well as
scholarships - all based on high school entrance testing at local Catholic
high school.
Our academic resources
include:
Academic/Athletic Involvement
Bringing annual honors in the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair,
math field days, oratorical/essay contests, Academic Decathlon, County Spelling
and National Geography Bees, Individual/team sporting events, Knights of
Columbus Free Throw contest at local, county and state levels.
Computer Lab
Equipped with 25 PC computers, available printers and software, providing all
classes K -8 with computer education, including semester courses in literacy and
applications for middle school students.

Counseling Program
Under the direction of a licensed
psychologist, offering consultation to faculty, students and parents. Services
include individual conferences with students, parents and staff to determine
areas of concern and intervention. Use of community referrals as needed and also
follow-up. Due to time limitations no student can receive on-going therapeutic
treatment, yet appropriate referrals are made available.
Fine Arts
Students participate in a variety of fine arts activities, from art
classes to Shakespeare productions
Learning Center
Accommodating individual needs of students in all grades Kindergarten through
8th.
Sacramental Preparation
In conjunction with the Parish Religious Education Program guiding students in
their faith
development.

Student Health Program
Under the direction of the School Nurse, including "Happy Smiles" Dental Disease
Prevention program, certified CPR and safety courses, extensive screenings for
hearing, scoliosis, dental evaluation, and immunization verification.
Study Skills
Incorporated into the curriculum, preparing students for high school and beyond.
Summer School
Offering classes for remediation and enrichment to students in grades 1-8.
